Sitting pretty next to artists like Aphex Twin and Hiss Golden Messenger, Naomi Punk make the Washington Post's list for The Best Music of 2014! They call the band's latest album, Television Man, "clever, vibrant and...the opposite of homework." Woop woop!
Would like to wish congratulations and well wishes to the future of Bayonet Records, launched by Captured Tracks alumni, Katie Garcia and Dustin Payseur. It was a blast working with the both of them for those years and we really look forward to seeing what they do, looks like they're already doing great with a line-up as solid as Frankie Cosmos, Warehouse and, of course, Beach Fossils. The 'Foss will always be a huge part of the history of C/T, but I'm happy to see Dustin moving forward with his ambitions w/ Katie. All the best, guys! -Mike Sniper.
Peter Silberman (right) w/ The Antlers earlier this month (more by Greg Cristman) Death by Audio is now closed for good, and as you've probably heard by now it's only about another month before its S. 2nd & Kent neighbor...
